Over 781 km of highways and express roads in construction, 518 km in execution stage

The National Company Managing Road Infrastructure (CNAIR) has 781.38 km in construction, of which 263.43 km in the design stage, 517.95 km in execution stage, according to data issued for the press. On Highway 0, lot 3 South Bragadiru – Joita (17.965 km) is in the execution stage, lot 1 North Joita- Corbeanca (17.5 km) in design,lot 3 North Afumati- Pantelimon (8.60 km) in execution stage, while lot 4 North Pantelimon- Glina (4.47 km) in execution stage. On highway A1, Sibiu-Pitesti, section 2 Boita-Cornetu (31.33 km) is in design stage, section 3 Cornetu-Tgveni (37.40 km) in design, section 4 Tigveni- Curtea de Arges (9.86 km) in execution, section 5 Curtea de Arges – Pitesti (30.35 km) in execution, while Lugoj-Deva highway (sections E and D of lot 2) of 9.13 km in execution stage. Transilvania Highway (A3), sections Nadaselu – Mihaiesti (16.80 km) and Mihaiesti- Zimbor (13.26 km) is in execution, Zimbor-Poarta Salajului section (12.24 km) in execution , Suplacu de Barcau – Chiribis section (26.35 km) in design stage, Chiribis – Biharia section (28.55 km) ready to start design. Ploiesti – Pascani A7 Highway, 320 km is in execution stage. On Highway A8, we have section Targu Mures- Miercurea Nirajului (24.4 km) in design stage, while section Leghin – Targu Neamt (29.9 km) in design stage. On A 13 Highway Sibiu-Fagaras, 68 km are in design stage. Other projects are: expressway Braila-Galati (10.767 km) in execution stage, while DEx Craiova- Pitesti pillar 1 Craiova -Robanesti (17.7 km) is also in execution, as is section 4 Colonesti-Oarja-Pitesti (31.82km). Expressway A3-DN1 (5 km) is also in execution. According to CNAIR winners were nominated fr two contracts : Feasibility Study for speedway Caransebe?-Lugoj (50 km) and design execution of two bridges over the Prut at Ungheni, a connection road with A8 highway (Targu Mures – Iasi- Ungheni) and the border crosspoint. The design and execution contract was signed for the two viaducts needed for A3 (3 km) and the completion of the Feasibility Study for Brasv-Bacau highway (164 km). At present, CNAIR has launched 14 projects for the construction of a speedway : design and execution Targu Mures- Targu Neamt highway, section 2 Miercurea Nirajului – Leghin km 22+000- km 181+195, Lot 1b: Miercurea Nirajului- Sarateni; design and execution section 2 Miercurea Nirajului – Leghin km 22+000- km 181+195, Lot 2c: Pipirig – Vanatori Neamt (Leghin); design and execution “Techirgil Alternative”; works on Expressway Arad Oradea Lot1. Execution Expressway Arad Oradea lot 2; execution Expressway Arad Oradea lot 3; execution Expressway Connection Satu Mare (VO Satu Mare – Oar (Romanian-Hungarian border- Expressway M49 Hungary; design and execution Timisoara West Detour; design and execution highway Brasov-Targu Mures- Cluj-Oradea, section 3B: Mihaiesti- Suplacu de Barcau, section sB3: Salaj Gate – Zalau, including road tunnel in Meres area and Subsection 3B4 Zalau-Nusfalau; design and execution Craiova Filiasi Highway lot 1; desihn and execution Craioca Filiasi lot 2 highway ; design and execution Craiova Filiasi lot 3; design and execution Pascani Suceava lot 1; design and execution Pascani- Suceava lot 2. 198.14 km of speedway are planned to be opened to traffic in 2024: A0 South lot 1 Glina-Vidra (16.93 km) in traffic; A0 North – lot 3 Afumati-Pantelimon (2km) to ensure connection with DN2; Highway A7 Ploiesti-Buzau lot 1 (21 km) and lot 2 (28.35 km); Buzau-Focsani Highway (82.44 km); Dex6 Braila-Galati (10.767 km); Dex12 Craiova-Pitesti section 1 Craiova-Robanesti (17.7km); Dex16 Oradea -A3 beltway (18.96 km); Dex Craiova-Pitesti section 4,32 km. “By adding 89 km built in 2023, we have a total of 287.14 km built in 2023-2024”CNAIR informs.
