Global e-commerce logistics platform Packeta Romania has integrated the nationwide network of the Romanian Post into its logistics ecosystem under an operational partnership launched in August, the company announced on Tuesday. The collaboration significantly expands Packeta's delivery infrastructure for both home deliveries and parcel collection from pick-up points. As a result, the company's pick-up network now comprises nearly 6,000 locations. The partnership also strengthens Packeta's home delivery coverage. Through the Romanian Post's infrastructure, the company can now reach more than 11 million unique addresses across all administrative units in Romania, from major urban centres to communities where commercial courier networks have a more limited presence."The partnership with the Romanian Post marks a step change for Packeta's operations in Romania. Integrating a nationwide infrastructure gives online retailers access, through a single platform, to a much broader delivery network and solutions tailored to different types of communities. The collaboration follows Packeta's international development model, which connects merchants with strong local operators and complementary delivery options. For our partners, this expansion means greater flexibility and an improved ability to reach customers across the country," Packeta Romania Managing Director Alexandr Jeleascov said in the press release.Under the partnership, online retailers can offer customers a broader range of delivery options, including home delivery, collection from a Packeta pick-up point, or parcel collection from a post office or postal outlet integrated into the Packeta network. Customers can choose the delivery method based on their location, proximity and personal preferences. The Romanian Post's network includes more than 5,000 postal outlets covering all administrative units across Romania. Its infrastructure is supported by 41 logistics and courier hubs and more than 1,000 scheduled transport routes daily, with a total sorting capacity exceeding 500,000 parcels per day.Packeta Romania, part of the Packeta Group, has been operating on the Romanian market since 2017.
