Parliament in extraordinary session - 4-7 July; Government takes responsibility on first tax package

Parliament is currently in extraordinary session and the decision was published in the Official Journal on Friday evening. According to the decision, the Deputies’ Chamber and the Senate join in an extraordinary  session, between 4 and & July to conduct the procedure  regarding the Government’s accountability on the draft law on some fiscal-budgetary measures.Until 8am on Monday, MEPs and senators will be able to table amendments to the draft. They can only be submitted electronically to the General Secretariats of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, through the parliamentary groups, or individually by non-attached MPs, the document says. Also on Monday, at 15:00, the Government assumes its responsibilities in the plenary. The sitting of the full Parliament is held in physical and online presence.   If no motion of no confidence in the Government has been tabled by the deputies and senators within three days of the assumption of responsibility, the bill is considered adopted. If a motion of no confidence is tabled, if it has received the vote of the majority of the Deputies and Senators, the Government is dismissed.   On Friday, the executive approved the first package of fiscal measures to reduce the deficit.
