ParliamentaryElection2024/ AEP: 465 MPs in new Parliament, 364 men and 101 women

  The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) presented on Tuesday statistical data on the composition of the new Parliament by gender and age groups, showing that in the next legislature, out of the total of 465 MPs, 364 are men and 101 are women.Moreover, 29 MPs are up to the age of 34, and 33 MPs are over 65, with most of them falling in the age group between 45 and 64.According to a press release issued by AEP, the situation of mandates obtained by political parties and organizations of national minorities, grouped by gender, is as follows:The Social Democratic Party won 122 seats (36 in the Senate and 86 in the Chamber of Deputies) - 93 are men and 29 are women;The Alliance for the Union of Romanians will have 91 seats (28 in the Senate and 63 in the Chamber of Deputies) - 71 men and 20 women;The National Liberal Party obtained 71 seats (22 in the Senate and 49 in the Chamber of Deputies) - 62 men and 9 women;The Save Romania Union will have 59 seats (19 in the Senate and 40 in the Chamber of Deputies) - 45 men and 14 women;S.O.S. Romania Party obtained 40 seats (12 in the Senate and 28 in the Chamber of Deputies) - 27 men and 13 women;The Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania will have 32 seats (10 in the Senate and 22 in the Chamber of Deputies) - 27 men and 5 women;Young People's Party obtained 31 seats (7 in the Senate and 24 in the Chamber of Deputies) - 21 men and 10 women;The organizations of citizens belonging to national minorities obtained 19 seats in the Chamber of Deputies, of whom 18 men and one woman.The situation by age groups is also as follows:The Social Democratic Party will have 3 MPs up to the age of 34, 35 MPs aged between 35 and 44, 75 MPs aged between 45 and 64 and 9 MPs aged over 65;The Alliance for the Union of Romanians will have 7 MPs up to the age of 34, 31 MPs aged between 35 and 44, 46 MPs aged between 45 and 64 and 7 MPs aged over 65;The National Liberal Party will have 4 MPs up to the age of 34, 22 MPs aged between 35 and 44, 42 MPs aged between 45 and 64 and 3 senators over 65;Union Save Romania will have 7 MPs up to the age of 34, 24 between the ages of 35 and 44, 28 between the ages of 45 and 64;The S.O.S. Romania Party will have 3 MPs up to the age of 34, 12 between the ages of 35 and 44, 24 MPs between the ages of 45 and 64 and one over 65;The Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania will have 1 MP up to the age of 34, 7 MPs aged between 35 and 44, 23 MPs aged between 45 and 64 and one over 65;The Young People's Party will have 4 MPs up to the age of 34, 17 MPs aged between 35 and 44, 10 MPs aged between 45 and 64;The organizations of citizens belonging to national minorities will have 3 MPs aged between 35 and 44, 13 aged between 45 and 64 and 3 over 65.
