The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) announced on Sunday night the partial results, at national level, for the elections of the authorities of the local public administration and for the election of the members from Romania for the European Parliament of 9 June.Thus, for the election of the mayors, after centralisation, at national level of 99.90% of the 3,186 electoral constituencies, the degree of participation in the voting was 49,97% and the total number of votes validly cast is 8,555,788, representing 96,78% of the number of those who turned out to vote. PSD got 2,987, 993 votes – 34,92%, PNL – 2,543,571 votes – 29,73 %, AUR – 544,144 votes – 6,36 %, Alianta Dreapta Unita (USR - PMP - Forta Dreptei) – 493,147 votes – 5,76 %, Alianta electorala PSD PNL – 458,224 votes - 5.36 %, UDMR - 378.591 votes – 4,42 %, independent candidates – 324,258 votes – 3,79 %. For the election of local councils, following the centralisation of 99.65% of the 3,186 electoral districts at national level, the situation is as follows: voter turnout was 50.06% and the total number of valid votes cast was 8. 389,547, representing 96.05% of those who turned out to vote, of which: PSD 2,765,444 - 32.96%, PNL - 2,215,774 - 26.41%, AUR - 804,694 - 9.59%, ADU - 530,668 - 6.33%, UDMR - 453,778 - 5.41%, Alliance PSD PNL - 382,973 - 4.56%, USR - 154,472 - 1.84%. BEC specifies that in the commune of Che?ani, Mure? county, a new round of elections for mayor will be held on 23 June 2024, for the candidates in a ballot situation - Bega Daniel-Marcel, proposed by the PMP-Forta Dreptei Alliance, and Emil-Florin Mocan, proposed by the Social Democratic Party. Also, according to the BEC, a new round of elections for mayor will be held on June 23, 2024, in Po?aga Commune, Alba County, for the candidates in the ballot, namely Popa Aurelia, proposed by the Social Democratic Party, and Bulgar Ionel, proposed by the National Liberal Party. For the election of county councils, following the centralisation, at national level, of 35 of the 41 constituencies, the situation is as follows: voter turnout was 50.60% and the total number of valid votes cast was 6,458. 069, representing 94.77% of those who turned out to vote, of which: PSD - 2,238,609 - 34.66%, PNL - 1,842,807 - 28.53%, AUR - 710,126 - 11.00%, ADU - 502,424 - 7.78%, UDMR - 356,551 - 5.52%, S.O.S. Romania - 189,453 - 2.93%, Alianta PSD PNL - 127,816 - 1.98%. For the election of the presidents of the county councils, following the centralization, at national level, of 35 of the 41 electoral districts, the situation is as follows: the voter turnout was 50.60% and the total number of valid votes cast was 6. 507,880, representing 95.50% of those who turned out to vote, of which: PSD - 2,418,540 - 37.16%, PNL - 1,957,780 - 30.08%, AUR - 640,728 - 9.85%, ADU - 513,178 - 7.89%, UDMR - 339,785 - 5.22%, S.O.S. Romania - 198,029 - 3.04%, Alianta PSD PNL - 131,536 - 2.02%. As regards the partial results for the election of the Romanian members of the European Parliament, BEC informs that, following the centralization of 99.99% of the total of 19,870 polling stations organized in the country and abroad, the situation is as follows: voter turnout was 52. 40% and the total number of valid votes cast was 8,942,099, of which: PSD PNL Alliance - 4,341,356 - 48.55%, AUR Alliance - 1,334,845 - 14.93%, ADU - 778,824 - 8.71%, UDMR - 579,177 - 6.48%, S.O.S. Romania - 450,019 - 5.03%, REPER - 334,697 -3.74%, Stefanuta Nicolae-Bogdanel - 275.789 - 3.08%. For the elections for the Romanian members of the European Parliament, the BEC states that it has the final results for the 915 polling stations abroad, and after their full centralization, the situation is as follows: the total number of valid votes cast is 210. 410, of which: Alliance PSD PNL - 44,925 - 21.35 %, ADU - 34,373 - 16.34 %, Alliance AUR - 30,830 - 14.65 %, S.O.S. Romania - 28,457 - 13.52 %, REPER - 20,418 - 9.70 %, United Diaspora Party - 14,827 - 7.05 %, Stefanuta Nicolae-Bogdanel - 12,422 - 5.90 %. The Central Electoral Office states that it will continue to inform the public about the partial results by publishing them on its website every day until the final minutes of the results of the two types of elections held on 9 June 2024 are issued.
