Paul Stanescu announced on Monday that he has resigned from the position of deputy prime minister and minister of Regional Development and Public Administration. “Against the backdrop of events on the public scene, I hereby announce you that today, 26 November, I have submitted my resignation request from the position of deputy prime minister and minister of Regional Development and Public Administration. It was registered with the Secretariat General of the Government under no.16.495/26.11.2018,” Paul Stanescu stated in a statement sent to AGERPRES. At the same time, Paul Stanescu affirmed “he has never clung to any seat” and accepted the term of minister “at the party [Social Democratic party, major at rule, ed.n.] leadership’s insistence.” “I have said it and I repeat it: I am a man of honor, responsible and involved, I have not pursued any personal interest, and have never clung to a seat!
