PeliPartners Assists WDP in a EUR110mln Acquisition on the Romanian Market

July 25, 2024

PeliPartners is proud to announce its role in assisting WDP, one of the largest logistics real estate companies, with a significant acquisition on the Romanian market. WDP's acquisition includes around 135,000 m² of directly yielding assets and 300,000 m² of development potential, representing an investment of approximately 110 million euros. The transaction allows WDP's Romanian footprint to grow to around 2.0 million m² in gross leasable area.
PeliPartners provided comprehensive support to WDP throughout the transaction, encompassing due diligence, negotiation and execution of the transaction documents. PeliPartners has a successful partnership with WDP, as previously assisted their client with the acquisition of Arad Business Park, with an area of 42,000 sqm logistics centre in Arad.
The team was led by Alexandra Ioniță (managing associate, RE) and included Mădălina Fildan (managing associate, RE, Commercial), Oana Bucșa (managing associate, Competition and Commercial), Delia Dumitrescu (senior associate, Corporate M&A) and Delia Lepădatu (senior associate, Banking & Finance).
Oana Bădărău, Partner and Head of Real Estate: "This is a landmark transaction in a hot market. Logistics is today a major sector under development and we are glad that WDP trusted us with such a high profile mandate."
The strategic landbank in Constanta positions WDP for long-term growth amidst the region’s projected infrastructure investments. These include investments in port terminals, logistics capabilities, security, NATO presence, new highways, and preparations for Schengen Area accession, bolstering its role in global trade route diversification and Black Sea access.
