Pianist Seong-Jin Cho to perform for the first time in Romania at the Enescu Festival

Pianist Seong-Jon Cho will perform for the first time in Romania at the George Enescu International Festival, alongside the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia from Rome, as he is set to replace legendary pianist Martha Argerich."The artist will play, under the baton of conductor Daniel Harding, Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15, alongside the prestigious Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia from Rome, on Sunday, August 31st, at the Palace Hall. Seong-Jin will replace thus legendary pianist Martha Argerich, who, out of personal reasons, had to cancel her concert at the Enescu Festival, on August 31st, and also another concert at the Lucerna Festival, on August 28th", ARTEXIM informs on Wednesday.Martha Argerich will still perform at the Enescu Festival, but on Monday, September 15th, when she will hold an extraordinary concert alongside the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Charles Dutoit, at the Romanian Athenaeum.Believed to be one of the most important piano players of his generation, Seong-Jin Cho became internationally known when he won the 1st Prize in the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.In time, he performed alongside the most prestigious orchestras of the world, such as Berliner Philharmoniker, Wiener Philharmoniker, London Symphony Orchestra, L'Orchestre Nationale de France, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra.     (Photo:https://www.facebook.com/)
