Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan on Tuesday evening had a conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal, during which the two officials discussed Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine, its consequences on infrastructure and the civilian population, as well as its regional and global effects, the Government announced."Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan reaffirmed Romania's support for Ukraine and the commitment to continue it, including in backing Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic path. He also welcomed the efforts of the authorities in Kyiv to achieve a just and lasting peace," reads a press release sent on Tuesday.According to the same source, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan also underlined the importance of protecting the rights of the Romanian minority in Ukraine and the need for open and effective dialogue on this issue."The Romanian prime minister voiced his appreciation for the sacrifices made by Ukrainian soldiers on the front line and, more broadly, for the efforts of the Ukrainian administration," the source added.
