PM Marcel Ciolacu, in working visit to the USA

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu begins his working visit to Washington DC and New York, on Sunday until Wednesday.The government informed, on Saturday, that Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu will discuss with the American partners, during his visit to the USA, about the advancement of joint economic projects, the increase of American investments in Romania and consolidating political and security support."The advancement of joint economic projects, the increase of American investments in Romania and the consolidation of the political and security support we benefit from from our strategic partners are the objectives of the visit to the United States of America," Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said, according to the Executive's press release.Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu is making the working visit together with a government delegation that will include Angel Tilvar, Minister of Defense, Luminita Odobescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Radu Oprea, Minister of Economy.On Sunday, Marcel Ciolacu will visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, and in the evening of the same day he will have a meeting with representatives of the Romanian community from Washington, Virginia and Maryland.On Monday morning, the head of the Romanian Executive will lay a wreath at the Arlington Heroes' Cemetery, after which he will have meetings with Lloyd Austin, the American Secretary of Defense, and with Antony Blinken, the head of American diplomacy. Also, Marcel Ciolacu will talk with Jennifer Granholm, Secretary of Energy of the United States of America.On Tuesday, Marcel Ciolacu will meet with representatives of the Lockheed Martin Company, and then with Mike Rogers and Adam Smith, co-chairs of the Armed Forces Committee in the House of Representatives.Afterwards, he will have a meeting with Senators Ben Cardin and James Risch, co-chairmen of the Foreign Relations Committee in the US Senate.The Head of Government will have meetings with the representatives of the leadership of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives, respectively with Michael McCaul and Gregory Meeks, co-chairmen of the Committee and with Thomas Kean and William Keating, co-chairmen of the Subcommittee for Europe.Marcel Ciolacu will also meet with Mike Turner and Elissa Slotkin, members of the US House of Representatives, co-chairs of the Friendship Group with Romania in the House of Representatives. Then he will meet with representatives of the Google Company and with people from the leadership of the United States Energy Association (USEA).On Wednesday, in New York, the prime minister will meet with Ronald S. Lauder, the chairman of the World Jewish Council, and then with Antonio Guterres - the secretary general of the United Nations and with Dennis Frances - the chairman of the UN General Assembly.
