PM, meeting with German ambassador in Bucharest, reiterates interest in attracting investments in strategic sectors

 Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan had a meeting on Thursday, at Victoria Palace, with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bucharest, Angela Ganninger, the discussions being focused on the prospects for strengthening bilateral relations, with an emphasis on political, economic, sectoral cooperation, as well as in the field of European affairs.According to a Government press release, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of economic relations with Germany, Romania's main trading partner and largest foreign investor, reiterating the interest in attracting new German investments in strategic sectors.The two officials confirmed the need for close coordination between Romania and Germany, including in the current security context generated by Russia's aggression against Ukraine."The partnership with Germany constitutes a strategic priority of the Romanian Government. The executive seeks to make the most efficient use of the opportunities offered by cooperation in the field of security," the cited press release states. (Photo: https://gov.ro/)
