The president of the People's Movement Party (PMP), Eugen Tomac, urged, on Saturday, the participants of the Summer School of the party's Youth Organization, to organize themselves in a right-wing pole formed together with the Save Romanian Union (USR) and the Forta Dreptei, "to give Romania a new chance"."We must organize ourselves very well together with the other future partners in order to give Romania a new chance. (...) I am absolutely convinced that PMP, together with USR, Forta Dreptei and other people of good faith from this country can build an alternative. The majority of Romanians involved, Romanians who pay taxes, want this country to disappear from the humiliating rankings of the European Union. We are not a lazy nation, we are a big nation, there are 30 million Romanians, 15 in the country and 15 out. (...) More involvement is needed from politicians who care about this country (...) Our obligation is to leave the Social Democratic Party (ruling PSD) with nothing and we can only do this if we mobilize, we will get involved and close the ranks," said Tomac at the Summer School of the PMP Youth Organization, organized between September 1-3 in Mamaia Black Sea resort. He accused president Iohannis of "abandoning the right-wing electorate" and of appointing more PSD prime ministers than (former PSD leader and president Ion Iliescu, ed. n.).Tomac criticized the PSD and believes that this party "must be sent to 2024 in a long opposition". According to the PMP leader, the current coalition must "strangle in its own impotence". He pointed out that "AUR is the perfect disguise to aggressively promote all of Putin's messages" and that Romanians "will be enlightened" regarding this "toxic project"."The Alliance of the Union of Romanians (AUR) is a party that identifies 100% with the messages of the Kremlin, against the European Union, falsely speaking all kinds of themes, lies and tries to manipulate the citizens through disinformation. Romanians will also be enlightened regarding this toxic project. The important thing is that we organize ourselves," emphasized Tomac."We need this alternative that offers a healthy development perspective for the country, an alternative that listens to the business environment, an alternative that does not make fun of public money, an alternative that offers a European and Euro-Atlantic perspective of Romania. Romania still needs the Strategic Partnership we have with the United States of America (...) Romania currently moves like a ship without a compass. Either we know exactly why we organize ourselves, why we are doing politics and why we want a united right next year to leave the PSD with nothing, to send the PNL where it belongs and to offer the country a bright future that it deserves," said Tomac.
