PPC Renewables is building a new 140 MW wind farm in eastern Romania

   A new wind power plant, with an installed capacity of 140 MW, in Deleni commune, eastern Vaslui county, is added to the organic development of the portfolio of renewable energy sources of PPC Renewables, reaching the construction phase, the company informs in a press release.The new wind farm is designed with 23 6.1 MW GE Vernova turbines and will be connected to the grid by the end of 2025. Given the high wind potential of the region, the estimated annual generation of the plant is approximately 370 GWh per year. Once operational, CO2 emissions will be reduced annually by 215,000 tons. Upon completion, the project is expected to provide enough energy to power the equivalent of approximately 62,000 households, the quoted source points out.PPC Renewables operates an existing portfolio of over 700 MW in Romania. Upon completion, the total installed capacity of renewable energy sources of the PPC Group in the country will reach approximately 850 MW.
