February 11, 2026

Premier Ilie Bolojan held on Tuesday, at Victoria Palace, consultations with municipal mayors, the main topic of talks concerning the classification of emergency municipal hospitals being based on objective criteria, based on which financing from public funds can be ensured.   According to a government press release, the meeting was organized upon the request of the muncipal mayors of Roman - Laurentiu Dan Leoreanu, of Moinesti – Valentin Vieru, Barlad- Dumitru Boros, Pascani – Marius Pintilie, Petrosani – Tiberiu Iacob Ridzi, Caransebes – Felix Cosmin Borcean.   “Talks were held in the context in which the Health Ministry released, for public consulting, the government decision bill about criteria of inclusion in the category of hospitals of strategic importance. The mayors of the 6 municipalities presented a series of arguments to be analysed by the Health Ministry,” the press release mentions.   Another important topic discussed at the Victoria Palace meeting was administrative reform. “Premier Ilie Bolojan said the legislative package involves a deep administrative reform, which will offer instruments for the increase of local authorities' efficiency. Mayors of the six municipalities mentioned that the approval of the administrative reform as soon as possible will be able to back local projects and the good functioning of the local public administration,” the government announced.   In this context, there were talks about carrying out investments financed through the National Plan of Recovery and Rezilience, as well as through government programs. The head of the Executive asked mayors to point out possible delays in the payment of works carried out, in order to streamline this process at ministry level. (Photot:https://gov.ro/ro)
