President Nicusor Dan had a phone conversation with the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, on Wednesday."I thanked President Costa for his congratulations and supportive words and reaffirmed Romania's commitment to closely cooperating with European partners, upholding the EU's values and objectives", Nicusor Dan wrote on the X platform.The head of state mentioned that, in the discussion with the European official, key topics were addressed, ahead of the upcoming European Council meeting in June, including regional security and defense, Romania's support for Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, and strengthening the EU's competitiveness."I look forward to working with President Costa and my colleagues in the European Council to advance the EU Agenda and our shared priorities", Nicusor Dan also wrote.
