President Dan highlights the importance of supporting Ukraine within extraordinary EUCO meeting

President Nicusor Dan highlighted on Monday the importance of supporting Ukraine at the extraordinary meeting of the European Council (EUCO)."Today I took part in a very useful and much needed extraordinary EUCO meeting, convened by President Costa. We have exchanged views and assessments about the latest evolutions regarding the Peace Process for Ukraine. We, as Europeans, will stay united and we reaffirmed strong EU support for Ukraine. We also underlined today that the EU brings added value in shaping and implementing the Peace Process for Ukraine," President Nicusor Dan wrote on X.He highlighted the fact that there is a direct connection between Ukraine's security and that of the entire region."I emphasized during my intervention that we need to find solutions for the continuation and consolidation of our support for Ukraine, through concrete measures. I also pointed out that there is a direct link between the security of Ukraine and that of the Republic of Moldova and the region as a whole, and that the current peace talks need to take this aspect into consideration," the head of state also said.
