President Nicusor Dan will receive the heads of Romania's diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace on Tuesday, as they attend the Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy in Bucharest.September 1 also marks Romanian Diplomacy Day.The president's meeting with Romanian diplomats is scheduled for 09:00, when he will deliver an address.This year's Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy is held under the theme "Diplomacy: the anchor of a changing world".According to the Foreign Ministry, this year's meeting is focused on making Romanian diplomacy more effective, pragmatic and closely aligned with the country's interests. Discussions will address how diplomatic and consular action can further strengthen Romania's international profile, promote its security and economic interests, support Romanian citizens and reinforce the country's role in the European Union, the transatlantic relationship and dialogue with global partners.On Tuesday, the second day of the 2026 Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy, the heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices will be received at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace and subsequently at the Victoria Government Palace by interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
