President Nicusor Dan: We must have Government supported by parliamentary majority, this means predictability

June 25, 2025

President Nicusor Dan emphasized on Monday that the first urgency for the country is the formation of a Government supported by a parliamentary majority in order to give predictability to potential investors and those already present in Romania."First of all, we need to have a government supported by a parliamentary majority, this means that we give predictability. We are telling potential investors and those already present in Romania that there is stability and therefore that it cannot happen that they come to Romania and in six months' time the Government changes and we don't know what will happen. So, this is a matter of urgency and I hope to solve this issue in the next one, two months, so that we can have a prediction on our fiscal policy 2025 - 2026. After that, once we solve the deficit problem, we need, as I have said several times, we need specialists to be involved in defining sectoral strategies for Romania," the head of state said at the Palace of Parliament, after taking the oath of investiture.
