President Nicusor Dan will attend the meeting of the 'Coalition of the Willing' in Paris on Tuesday

President Nicusor Dan will take part on Tuesday in Paris in the reunion of heads of state and government of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’, according to a press release of the Presidential AdministrationThe European allies of Ukraine met on Saturday, in Kyev to analyse the details of the most recent version of the plan for closing the conflict with Russia, before the summit of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ which will take place next week in France. The coalition is made up of states who support Ukraine, says AFP.Security advisers from 15 states, among which France, Germany and Canada, as well as representatives of the European Union and NATO reunited in the Ukrainian capital city for this first meeting of the year.US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, participated remotely, a Ukrainian official confirmed to AFP. "The first part of the meeting focused on framework documents, in particular security guarantees and approaches to the peace plan, as well as the sequence of the next joint steps," Ukraine's chief negotiator Rustem Umerov said on Telegram on Saturday after the first session.   Diplomatic efforts have intensified since November to end Europe's bloodiest conflict since World War II, under the coordination of US President Donald Trump, whose administration has held separate negotiations with Russia and Ukraine. In his speech on New Year’s Eve for 2026 the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski stated that an agreement is ‘ ready in proportion of 90%’ warning that the rest of 10% will determine ‘ the fate of peace’ as the future of the occupied territories by Russia is a key issue.  (Photo:https://en.wikipedia.org/)
