Independent candidate Calin Georgescu obtained 23.14% of the valid votes in the first round of the presidential elections, Social Democratic Party (PSD) candidate Marcel Ciolacu garnered 19.67%, and Save Romania Union (USR) candidate Elena Lasconi got 17.87%, according to the partial results centralised by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) until Monday, at 9:00 AM.According to BEC, data from 17,855 out of 19,919 polling stations in Romania and abroad have been centralised, representing 89.64%.
