PSD MPs, taking a stand on the double standard of the European institutions . Serban Nicolae on the protests in France: I am sure the European Parliament will react urgently and will adopt a harsh resolution . Jean Claude, Frans, Manfred, nothing there? We “pipe down” as in the case of the high-level corruption from France

November 20, 2018

Social Democratic Party (PSD) Senator Serban Nicolae ironically stated in a Facebook post, referring to the protests in France that caused hundreds of wounded people, that he is sure that the European Parliament will urgently react and adopt a harsh resolution, and concluded that Europe has not only multiple speeds, but also multiple standards, a lot of hypocrisy, a lot of arrogance and a lot of shamelessness. “Protests? (Real!) Hundreds of thousands in the street? Tear gas? Victims? I am sure that the European Parliament will urgently react and adopt a harsh resolution. The General Prosecutor’s Office attached to the French Court of Cassation will start an investigation against the police forces. Isn’t it so? Jean Claude, Frans, Manfred, nothing there? We “pipe down” as in the case of the high-level corruption from France (according to GRECO), as in the case of ING corruption (plus money laundering and financing terrorism), or as in the case of the corruption of Siemens of the well-done thing (globalized, to be enough for everybody)? ”, the Social-Democrat Senator commented on Facebook. His conclusion is that Europe has not only multiple speeds, but also multiple standards. “No, Europe has not only multiple speeds. It also has multiple standards. It also has a lot of hypocrisy. A lot of arrogance. A lot of shamelessness. Unfortunately, axe tails and slug characters… these are rather in our country”, Serban Nicolae concluded. More than 400 people have been wounded, of which 14 have serious wounds, at the protests organized starting from Saturday morning in France, against raising taxes and declining purchasing power.   Catalin Radulescu, about the violent actions in France: Mr. Juncker, mate Timmermans, don’t you react?   PSD MP Catalin Radulescu reacted on Facebook on Sunday, regarding the violent protests in France, wondering how is possible for “Mr. Juncker, mate Timmermans” not to react “breaking their clothes”, asking CVM also in France, or condemning the French Government and Gendarmerie. “Helooo, Realitatea tv, European Parliament, Mr. Juncker, mate Timmermans, international publications, hashtag resist, President Iohannis, all the great orators in Brussels, don’t you react, breaking your clothes, because one man died at the rally in France, other are in a serious health condition, they have been gassed, beaten, and “the French gendarmes’ action against those who were blocking the streets was disproportionate?” Where are you, all those who condemn PSD and the Romanian Government, where are you, all those who referred to the Bucharest gendarmes’ action including in CVM and in the European Parliament’s resolution? Where are you, hypocrite people who always condemn Romania whenever you like it and close your eyes when the same thing is happening in your favorite European countries? Don’t you ask a CVM in France too, now, don’t you make a fuss and don’t you condemn the action of the French Government and Gendarmerie?”, Catalin Radulescu wrote on Facebook on Sunday. He is also wondering how comes that these “hypocrite people” to Romania, through the CVM report, when it is a country in which there are no political assassinations or murdered journalists, and in which corruption is much lower than in other European states, “where you beat and gas people at any rally”. “How do you dare, you hypocrite people, to establish all the kind of conditions to Romania, through CVM, a country where there are no political assassinations, where journalists are not murdered, where there are no terrorist attacks, where people are walking on the streets in the celebration days, without the fear that a crazy guy can hit them with a truck, where the borders are safer without walls and wire, and where even corruption is much lower than in your favorite countries, instead condemning, making CVMs and parliamentary resolutions to your countries, where you beat and gas people at any rally? Why do you act according to a double standard, and why you make a difference between us and you? You are asking yourself and wonder why we react through political statements even if we are in the same political family? Well, tell us, Mrs. Gomes, Mr. Timmermans, you, Socialist fellows, since we don’t have any expectations from the People’s party, aren’t you criticizing anyone now, aren’t you “worried”, aren’t you making resolutions anymore?”, Radulescu explained. The Social-Democrat also said that Romania is not the one that is responsible for the increasing level of Euroscepticism, but the European officials are, since they treat preferentially certain countries. “You see, we are not the ones who are guilty for the increasing level of Euroscepticism in Romania, but you are, since you are treating certain countries in one way, and other countries in other way. I would like to see the same reaction from certain hysterical journalist women who, after the Bucharest rally, were screaming and swearing harshly at a certain TV channel, while the ‘innocent girls’ are totally silent now. That’s the truth. That’s how we have irresponsibly and unreasonably denigrated our country, to allow foreigners criticize us. Things are much serious from all the points of view in their European countries, but they are allowed to do anything, while we are set in the pillory, because yes, we are Romanians, but the ‘high-class’ Europeans are allowed anything”, the PSD MP commented. He concluded that Romania will be a partner equal to the rest of the European states when the same rules will be applied everywhere, when DNA and ANI will exist in all the EU member countries, or when Romania will be allowed to criticize the manner in which the General Prosecutor is dismissed in Germany, or how the Laws on Justice are made in Netherlands and France. “When the same rule will be applied everywhere in the same way, when CVM will exist in all the European countries, when DNA and ANI will exist in all the European countries, when Romania will be allowed, too, to criticize the manner in which the General Prosecutor is dismissed in Germany, or how the Laws on Justice are made in Netherlands and France,...
