The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will pay a working visit to Bucharest between March 5 and 6, where she will discuss bilateral cooperation and participate in the Congress of the European People's Party (EPP), announced the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova in a press release.During the visit, the head of the Moldovan state will have meetings with President Klaus Iohannis and Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu and will meet with the Moldovan community in Bucharest.Also, Maia Sandu will participate in the Congress of the European People's Party, where she will give a speech and have meetings with several counterparts.The Congress of the European People's Party takes place in Bucharest on March 6 and 7, bringing together leaders from the European people's political family.The Action and Solidarity Party from the Republic of Moldova, under the government and founded by the current president of the country, Maia Sandu, is an associate member of the European People's Party. Before the visit to Bucharest, Maia Sandu had a meeting with the Romanian ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Cristian-Leon Turcanu. The meeting is part of the mutual visits of the leaders of the two countries. Last week, the chairman of the Romanian Senate, Nicolae Ciuca, visited Chisinau.Bilateral discussions focus on cross-border projects that will improve the standard of living of citizens on both banks of the Prut River, the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union and regional security.
