Retele Electrice Romania launches a tender worth up to 387 million lei for high-voltage electrical installation works

  Retele Electrice Romania has launched a tender on the electronic public procurement platform SEAP with an estimated maximum value of up to 387 million lei (excluding VAT), for works contracts on high-voltage installations across all three service areas: Muntenia Sud, Banat and Dobrogea.   Projects to be carried out include connections, network reinforcements, and the expansion of transformer stations and power lines in Bucharest municipality and the counties of Ilfov, Giurgiu, Arad, Caras-Severin, Hunedoara, Timis, Constanta, Tulcea, Ialomita and Calarasi. These projects will be structured into 3 lots, corresponding to the 3 operational regions served.   For high-voltage power lines, both overhead and underground, pre-construction activities, land systematization, pole works and electromechanical elements of the network will be carried out.   Within the transformer stations, similar operations will be contracted, as well as dismantling works for existing equipment, installation of new high, medium and low voltage equipment, including remote control and protection equipment.   The bid submission deadline is 17.08.2026, and the duration of the awarded contract is 60 months from the contract signing date.   Retele Electrice Romania assumes its responsibility for environmental protection by applying a certified management system, which aims to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment. The company responsibly manages the waste resulting from the electricity distribution activity, complying with the legislation in force and its own integrated system, ensuring their reuse, recovery or disposal through authorized economic operators.   During all stages of execution of the works awarded following the tender, the applicable legal and regulatory requirements in the field of environmental protection will be strictly observed, as well as the relevant standards in force.   Retele Electrice Romania operates networks with a total length of approximately 136,000 kilometers across three major regions of the country: Muntenia (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea, covering one third of the local distribution market, and is developing an investment program to improve service quality, the safety and performance of its networks, and the local implementation of the PPC group’s environmental standards. The infrastructure operated by Retele Electrice Romania comprises 293 transformer stations and over 26,000 transformer posts.
