Reveal Marketing Research study: Construction waste alarms Romanians

7 out of 10 Romanians are worried about the disposal of construction waste in inappropriate places For young specialists under the age of 45, the problem of construction waste is the most alarming (56%)   It is well known that in today’s society more and more waste is produced due to the modern lifestyle of people and that it is one of the largest sources of pollution with a direct and major impact on the environment and quality of life.   In this context, Reveal Marketing Research conducted a nationally representative study in order to understand the perceptions of Romanians and specialists in the field about construction waste.   The level of awareness about ecological problems in the field of constructions is increasing among Romanians   The results of the study show that 6 out of 10 Romanians are concerned to a large extent about all the ecological problems associated with the field of construction that influence the quality of life. Currently, their biggest concern is the disposal of waste in inappropriate places (69%) and the volume of non-recyclable materials used in this field of activity (61%).   Young construction specialists are most concerned about the effects of improper waste disposal   In the case of construction specialists, it could be observed that the most important concerns in this field of activity are the use of fossil fuels in construction (54%), carbon footprint (53%) and the use of electricity from non-renewable sources (52% ). A significant difference in perception is highlighted in the case of young specialists, under the age of 45, for whom the disposal of construction waste in inappropriate places (56%) is today the most urgent ecological problem in the field of construction.   The concern of specialists regarding the fight against the problem of waste in construction industry is also visible in their daily work routine, 40% of them preferring to use AAC in their projects. This consumption behavior can be explained by the particularities of the AAC masonry material that allow its easy processing without losses, thus, reducing the amount of waste produced on construction sites. Getting to know the most concerned Romanians about the problem of construction waste   People under the age of 45 are the best informed about the ecological attributes of building materials (55%), this also being the age group that chooses AAC masonry material for their homes to the greatest extent.   The same trend in terms of preference while choosing the masonry material is reflected in the case of those who have built/ purchased a home in the last two years or who are in the process of building / purchasing a home (42%).   *** About Reveal Marketing Research   Reveal Marketing Research is a full-service market research company, specialized in market research, sociological studies, customer insight, business strategy, market development.
