A gram of gold went up by 3.8344 lei (+0.76%) on Tuesday, reaching a new record value of 506.4161 lei, from 502.5817 lei as BNR had announced. The national currency appreciated against the euro, which was calculated by the National Bank of Romania at 5.0737 lei, on the rise by 0.21 bani (+0.04%) against the previous quotation, of 5.0716 lei. The leu was quoted at 4.3133 lei against the US dollar, on the drop by 1.31 bani (-0.3%), compared to Monday, when it was 4.3253 lei. On the other hand, the national currency depreciated against the Swiss franc, calculated by BNR at 5.4401 lei, on the rise by 0.87 bani (+0.16%), against 5.4314 lei, the previous quotation.
