Romania Business Consult takes over SmartPay Software producer

Romanian Business Consult (RBC), the largest IT solutions integrator for the food industry ans retail, purchased all shares of Smartpay Software, an IT application producer set up in 2016 and with a business of 4.4 million lei in 2021, data supplied by Profit.ro.   The shares were sold by Sebastian Alexandru Ionita -32.5%, Marius Viorel Constantinescu – 32.5% and Cristian Florin Orascu – 2.5%.   Smartpay Software product portfolio includes payment solutions by card on EFT-POS terminals and cash deposit solutions in self service system, middleware for transactions, monitoring and management solutions for terminal fleets.   Following the purchase, RBC group completes its team and has 50 specialists in software development and application implementation and over 235 service engineers and national support , covering the whole range of software and IT services for modern retail and banking sectors.   In December 2020, RBC took over Ropeco, a local supplier of solutions and equipment in the field of cash processing. RBC was set up in 2013 and is fully controlled by Bluekit Limited (Cyprus), according to Termene.ro.   Company business advanced slightly in 2021 to 164.1 million lei and profit increased to 10.77 million lei.
