September 11, 2025

Romania has become a hub for clean energy development, attracting transparent investments driven by genuine competition, while Contracts for Difference (CfD) mechanism offers stability to investors, Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan said."Romania - a record in green energy! In just one round of CfD auctions, we secured investments for 2,751 MW of clean, affordable energy ? 37% above the 2,000 MW target set under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) and at prices up to 50% lower than the maximum thresholds. The results in brief: 1,488 MW from 26 solar projects and 1,263 MW from 23 wind projects," the minister wrote Wednesday on his Facebook page.According to him, the average winning prices were EUR 40.35/MWh for solar and EUR 73.89/MWh for wind."Exceeding the NRRP target proves that Romania is a center for clean energy development, attracting transparent investments based on real competition.
