National Defense Minister Angel Tilvar signed on Friday, on the sidelines of the NATO Defense Ministerial in Brussels, the document for Romania's accession to the letter of intent regarding Pan-European Military Mobility Corridor No. 8, together with Albania, Bulgaria, Italy and North Macedonia, an initiative which aims to simplify and speed up the movement of military forces and equipment, both in peacetime and in crisis or conflict situations."Romania prioritizes all allied efforts in the field of military mobility and makes constant efforts to connect to important corridors. I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize our country's solid commitment to regional cooperation and increased interoperability, while ensuring that together we strengthen security in the Black Sea area, which is so important in the current complex and unpredictable security context," said Defense Minister Angel Tilvar as cited in a Ministry release.Harmonized Military Mobility Corridors are designed as a network of main routes intended to simplify and accelerate the movement of military forces, equipment and materials, both in peacetime and in crisis or conflict situations.
