Romania started the winter period with over 3 billion cubic meters of gas in storage, all the necessary measures being implemented so that end consumers do not have problems in the supply of energy and natural gas, regardless of the temperature, said Dan Dragan, secretary of state in the Ministry of Energy, at the debate "How will this winter be for the Romanian energy consumer and what role could Romania play in the region's energy?".At the same time, the secretary of state added that during the Winter Command, preparations were made regarding the stocks for the production of electricity, but also regarding the coal and the volumes of water stored in the lakes.Dragan also said that with regard to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the call for projects for high-efficiency cogeneration for urban thermal power was launched, allocating 300 million euros.Regarding the Restructuring Plan of the Oltenia Energy Compound, Dan Dragan specified that over 900 million euros were prepared and allocated for the realization of the following capacities: over 730 megawatts installed in photovoltaic plants and over 1,300 megawatts installed in combined cycle plants, with natural gas as the main fuel.According to the secretary of state, as far as the Modernization Fund is concerned, a call for projects to strengthen the distribution network is underway."The total value of this scheme is over 1.1 billion euros.
