Her Majesty Margaret, together with His Royal Highness Prince Consort Radu, is visiting the Kingdom of Spain this week, during which they have scheduled several public meetings in the country's capital Madrid and Toledo. The royal visit takes place during Spain’s presidency to the Council of the European Union and it will include a meeting with King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia. On Monday, the Custodian of the Romanian Crown and the Prince Consort were the guests of the EU Satellite Centre (SatCen) near the Spanish capital, followed by a speech by Her Majesty Margaret at the Madrid headquarters of the Royal Elcano Institute for International and Strategic Studies. On Tuesday, Her Majesty Margareta, the Custodian of the Romanian Crown visited together with His Royal Highness Prince Consort Radu the Royal Botanical Gardens in Madrid where she planted two peonies, Romania’s National Flower. According to Her Majesty's Household, during her visit to Spain the Crown Custodian will give a speech on Romania's action in the EU and in the current regional context at the Royal Elcano Institute in Madrid. At the same time, the Royal Visit will include meetings with representatives of the Romanian and Moldavian communities, at the Presidency of the Community of Madrid, and with members of the Romanian community in Toledo. The Royal visit to Spain takes place during the country's Presidency of the Council of the European Union and includes a meeting with King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, as well as meetings with representatives of the Romanian and Moldavian communities.
