Acting Defence Minister Radu Miruta met on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Ankara, with his Czech counterpart Jaromir Zuna, their talks focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the defence industry, with an emphasis on identifying opportunities for industrial cooperation and technology transfer, the National Defence Ministry said.According to a statement sent on Tuesday, the two officials discussed possibilities for carrying out joint acquisitions through dedicated European instruments, including under the SAFE mechanism, agreeing to continue technical dialogue to identify the next steps and set a working timetable for potential joint projects.They also addressed prospects for developing cooperation between the defence industries of Romania and the Czech Republic, with a view to capitalising on collaboration opportunities in armaments production and capability development, the Ministry added.
