The government approved the negotiation and signing of a Romanian-Korean memorandum to consolidate cooperation in the nuclear energy field. The memorandum will be signed by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea and the Energy Ministry of Romania, according to a Government press release. “The objective of the Memorandum between the two states is to set up a frame to consolidate cooperation in the field of nuclear energy by facilitating the exchange of good practice in the nuclear field, the coordination of energy policies, development of new technologies in conditions of safety and the development and security of supply chains.The document also stipulates the setting up of an annual session between Korea and Romania for the Nuclear Energy Industry Dialogue (NEID), with a view to maintaining a constructive dialogue and build a work group at technical level, meant to monitor and implement activities”, the source informs.
