Romanian Post has signed a memorandum of understanding with global e-commerce platform Temu on logistics services for Romanian sellers, the national postal operator announced. Under the agreement, Romanian Post will provide an integrated parcel delivery service covering collection from sellers, sorting at logistics centres in Romania and last-mile delivery."Order processing and delivery options include home delivery, pick-up points, automated lockers and post offices across the country. The partnership is expected to provide local businesses with a simpler order fulfilment and delivery process, while also helping improve the shopping experience for customers," Romanian Post said in a statement. The two companies will organise joint events to help Romanian businesses selling on Temu expand their reach and will meet regularly to review the partnership and further improve delivery services."Our network reaches communities throughout Romania, including rural areas. This agreement will make our delivery and return services available to Romanian sellers on Temu, helping them serve customers across the country. We also welcome the opportunity to support local businesses seeking to reach customers in other European countries," Romanian Post Director-General Valentin Stefan said.Temu entered the Romanian market in July 2023, while Romanian businesses have been able to register and sell on the platform since March 2025. The company's Local Seller programme is currently available in more than 35 countries."Four out of five small businesses in Europe do not sell online, and the business organisations and industry associations we have met have pointed to the same barriers: complexity, costs and a lack of information on how to get started. By working with Romanian Post, we aim to support more Romanian sellers with reliable logistics services and new opportunities for growth, both in the domestic market and beyond," a Temu spokesperson said.Temu operates in more than 90 markets worldwide.Romanian Post is Romania's state-controlled national postal operator and has a network of more than 5,000 postal units nationwide. It handles more than 11 million postal items each week.
