December 23, 2024

* A new step in Romcim's strategy to support evolved construction projects Romcim, a CRH Group company, is launching CEVO, a range of innovative cement and concrete solutions with lower CO2 emissions. The CEVO range for advanced construction has been developed to respond to the growing interest in the Romanian construction market for the use of sustainable solutions with a positive impact on the environment. The launch of the CEVO range of lower CO2-emitting cement and concrete solutions continues Romcim's efforts in line with its decarbonisation strategy. Recently, the company has completed the construction of the first wind farm in Romania that directly supplies renewable energy to the cement factory in Medgidia, contributing to Romania's energy transition with a reduction of more than 40,000 tonnes of CO2 per year in the national energy mix.
