Romgaz recorded in the first quarter of this year a total hydrocarbon production of 8.36 barrels of oil equivalent (boe), 4.56% higher than in the same period last year, according to a report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Friday.The amount of natural gas extracted, gross, was 8.30 million boe (+4.39%), and the condensate production was 62,000 boe (plus 32.46%).Natural gas from internal production capitalized totaled 1.208 billion cubic meters, down 7.17% compared to the first quarter of 2023.Electricity production amounted to 263.8 GWh (minus 18.33%).Romgaz's main business segments are geological exploration in order to discover new gas deposits, methane gas production by exploiting the deposits in the company's portfolio, supply and distribution of natural gas, special operations and well services, production and supply of electricity.The majority shareholder of the company is the Romanian state, with a 70.0071% stake in the share capital.Starting from November 12, 2013, the shares issued by SNGN Romgaz are traded on the regulated market administered by the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
