Romgaz's hydrocarbon production up almost 0.4pct in H1 2025

For H1 2024, Romgaz,Romania's largest natural gas producer, has reported a total hydrocarbon production of 16.19 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), 0.39% higher year-on-year, according to a report submitted on Tuesday to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.The amount of natural gas extracted, gross, was 15.98 million boe (-0.05%), and the condensate production was 208,000 boe (plus 52.93%).Natural gas from domestic production totalled 2.526 billion cubic meters, up 12.55% from H1 2024.The electricity production was 341.5 GWh (minus 24.22%).The natural gas extracted from deposits totalled 1.249 billion cubic meters (plus 27.03%), and those injected 929.7 million cubic meters (plus 13.28%).Romgaz's main business segments are geological exploration for the purpose of discovering new gas fields, methane gas production through the use of the fields in the company's portfolio, supply and distribution of natural gas, special operations and well services, production and supply of electricity.The majority shareholder of the company is the Romanian state, with a 70.0071% stake.Starting with November 12, 2013, the shares issued by SNGN Romgaz are traded on the regulated market administered by the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
