Senate President Nicolae Ciuca hade a meeting with the new Greek ambassador, Evangelia Grammatika

  Senate President Nicolae Ciuca, in a meeting with the new Greek ambassador, Evangelia Grammatika, conveyed the appreciation of the Bucharest authorities for Greece's support for Romania's admission to the Schengen Area and the OECD."I met this morning with Her Excellency Evangelia Grammatika, the new Greek Ambassador to Romania. The Hellenic Republic is one of our most important partners in the region, with both countries having close cooperation both within the EU and within the North Atlantic Alliance. I have conveyed my appreciation to the authorities in Bucharest for the support his country has openly shown for Romania's admission to the Schengen Area and the OECD," Ciuca wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.According to Ciuca, in the mandate of Evangelia Grammatika, the economic cooperation between the two countries can be expanded."For example, in energy and transport there is already an interest in better regional interconnection.
