Simultec Magurele to deliver flight simulators to Asia-Pacific country

Simultec Magurele, a subsidiary of the Elbit Systems manufacturer of simulators for the air force, army and navy, has been appointed to supply flight simulators for the Blackhawk S-70i and Bell 412EP helicopters for a country in the Asia-Pacific region.In a press statement released on Thursday, the company says this confirms the capabilities of Simultec engineers to design, build, develop and supply technology at the highest level for both the domestic market and the international market."We are proud to have been appointed to deliver flight simulators that are made in Romania to the highest standards. That attests to the confidence placed in our capabilities. We demonstrate once again that the Romanian industry is a leading one in this field. We focus our efforts on development and modernisation in order to be able to demonstrate the quality of the systems produced by Simultec Magurele," Simultec General Manager Florin Maican is quoted as saying.The simulators that will be delivered are for two helicopter models, the BlackHawk S-70i and the Bell 412EP. The simulators are designed to reproduce all aspects of helicopter missions, including emergencies as a result of technical issues.Simulators are developed to improve pilots' skills or repeat combat missions. The entire manufacturing process is carried out at the factory in Magurele.Simultec Magurele is the largest manufacturer of simulators in Europe with over 30 years of experience in training and simulation solutions.The flight simulators produced by Simultec are manufactured entirely in Romania by Romanian engineers. The Magurele factory can produce five simulators in one go and the process can take about eight months.Simultec has designed, built and delivered simulators for the most modern air, ground and naval forces around the world while developing software and hardware integration.Simultec Magurele, as well as Elmet and AE Electronics, is part of the group of companies owned by Elbit Systems in Romania.
