The initiator and director of the SoNoRo International Chamber Music Festival in Bucharest, musician Razvan Popovici says that the 19th edition of this event aims, through a new concept, to bring the public closer to literature. The artist presented, in a press conference, the news from the program of the 2024 edition of the SoNoRo Festival, scheduled to take place between November 1 and 17. The opening concert - ' Night Shepherds' will take place on Friday, November 1, from 7:30 p.m. at Bragadiru Palace, featuring Alexis Cardenas, one of the most important violinists of his generation, alongside the Recoveco group. In the capital city, concerts are also scheduled at the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Great Hall of the Romanian Cultural Institute, the National Museum of Contemporary Art. In Cluj, concerts will take place at the Casino- Urban Centre, the Academic College - Maximum Auditorium Hall, the Evangelical- Lutheran Church, the Bohemian House, the National Museum of Transylvanian History, the NUMAA House. Among the ensembles and soloists that willl perform on the stages of SoNoRo 2024 are the Janoska Ensemble, the Fine Arts Quartet, Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Boris Brovtsyn, Amaury Coeytaux, Alexandra Conunova, Francesco Ionascu, Abigel Kralik, Solenne Paidassi, Aylen Pritchin, and for the first time, Hartmut Rohde, one of Germany's most important violists, professor in Berlin. At the same time, the festival programme will continue the 'SoNoRo meetings' series, which started last year until now two meetings have been established and hosted in Bucharest and Cluj.
