SpaceFEST 2024, dedicated to aerospace field, between 31 May & 2 June at Politehnica of Bucharest

  The National University of Science and Technology Politehnica of Bucharest organizes, between 31 May and 2 June, SpaceFEST 2024, an event dedicated to the aerospace field, which will bring together experts, four world-renowned astronauts, passionate people about space, a press release from Politehnica sent on Friday, informs.At the event, which will take place at the Bucharest Politehnica campus, visitors will have the chance to interact with astronauts from NASA and Axiom Space and participate in practical workshops, space-themed experiments, space tours, flight simulators, VR and AR experiences.Also, scheduled activities include solar observations, drone flight demonstrations, exhibitions of art and space technologies, model aircraft, airplanes, helicopters.Prepared will be for the little ones fun&educational activities, such as projections in the planetarium, creative workshops, drawing contests with the theme of the space, astronaut costumes for children."How are astronauts selected and prepared for space missions? What is the most interesting experience an astronaut has ever had in space? What is the biggest challenge they face during a space mission and how do they manage it? SpaceFEST 2024 is a unique opportunity to uncover the mysteries and innovations of space, providing participants with captivating and educational experiences," the release reads.Moreover, participants will be able to find out "what space missions will look like in the next 50 years and what are the major goals that humanity has in long-term cosmic exploration" or "what are the progress made in the development of space transport and how they could open new opportunities for colonizing other planets or celestial bodies"."SpaceFEST 2024 is not just about exploration and science, it's also about inspiration and innovation. During the event, there will be discussions and presentations about the future of space flight, emerging technologies and collaboration opportunities in the aerospace industry," the source adds.The European SpaceFEST 2024 summit will take place on 3 June at the Palace of Parliament, during which "space industry leaders and government officials will explore new horizons in the aerospace field, covering topics such as innovation, interdisciplinary research and the future of space flight," the release announces.Also, a gala will take place at the Bucharest National Opera in which important personalities in the space field will be awarded.
