Survey: Three quarters of Romanians do not trust recommendations made by influencers

Almost three quarters of Romanians (73.74%) say, on the eve of Black Friday, that they do not trust recommendations of products and services made by influencers, according to a specialized survey, released on Thursday.Moreover, to be convinced to make a purchase from an online store, 55.62% of respondents want the product to have more than 10 reviews, while 17.15% are satisfied with 5 to 10 reviews.For 11.92% of respondents it matters that a product has 3-5 reviews, 5.52% are satisfied with 1-3 reviews, while for 9.79% this aspect is irrelevant, according to the analysis conducted by Prora through the iVox Research platform.When it comes to being informed by mail about online shops' promotions, opinions are divided in terms of frequency: 32.85% consider that one mail per week is enough, 30.72% expect to be notified every time there are new promotions, 22.77% want a maximum of one mail per month, and 13.66% do not want any correspondence at all.According to the survey, for 41.67% of Romanians, transportation should be free of charge for orders worth more than RON 100, while 30.62% would like this service to be free of charge, regardless of the value of the order. 9.69% prefer free transportation for orders between RON 101-150; 8.04% for orders worth RON 151 - 200 and 9.98% for orders worth more than RON 200.Most often, products are returned because they do not meet specifications, according to 48.26% of respondents who chose this option. The next most common reason for return is incorrect size for 33.62%. The fact that the product arrived too late or damaged is the reason for return for 13.86% of those surveyed. 3.49% admit that they simply regretted it, while 0.78% admit that they have already worn the product and no longer need it.The Prora study provides a detailed insight into the online shopping behavior of consumers, highlighting current trends and preferences in e-commerce. The methodology used to collect statistical data is CAWI - Computer Assisted Web Interviewing, applied through the online platform iVox Research. The studied sample of 1,043 respondents reproduces, in terms of main characteristics, the socio-demographic structure of the population of Internet users in Romania, over the age of 18, and the results of this survey can be extrapolated with a minimum margin of error.In terms of socio-demographic structure, 52.92% of the respondents are men, and 89.36% reside in urban areas. 77.11% of the respondents are currently employed.
