Symmetrica will invest 10 million euros to modernize Veresti factory, Suceava

May 25, 2022

Symmetrica, the manufacturer of pavement and borders, announced on Tuesday that it would invest 10 million euros to modernize Veresti factory, Suceava, the first production unit of the company, inaugurated in 1999.   The upgrading works will influence the overall production capacity of the company. In fact, this production unit will serve the north-eastern area (Moldova) but Select products will be manufactured here will reach other country areas too.   “Veresti production unit was our first factory, which after 1999 went through several modernization stages over the years. However, after 23 years of functioning and in the present market context we decided to invest a lot and completely change production lines,” said Sebastian Bobu, executive manager of Symmetrica.   The factory from Suceava county operated through two production lines, of big and medium capacities. Once upgrading works are completed, the two lines will be replaced by other lines of superior capacity. At the same time, halls and the office area will be modernized.   “The decision to make this investment came in the context in which the market in the north-eastern part of the country matured in the last years and is more interested in high quality products with strong architectural impact. We also noticed that demand exceeded local production capacity and this investment became a necessity,” Bobu added.   Thus, new production lines installed at Veresti factory will insure a 50% higher production capacity, compared to the old ones. They will include state of the art technology with major impact on increased productivity. For that reason, the share of Select products of premium quality and complex design will grow in overall production.   About a month ago the company put into operation the eighth factory from its portfolio at Solca (Suceava) after an investment of 2 million euros. The factory in devoted to manufacturing elements for sewerage systems.   Since mid 2021, the company has allocated funds of 9 million euros to extend with new production lines devoted to the manufacture of elements for sewerage systems for five of the seven units it owns.   Symmetrica is a 100% Romanian company that manufactures pavements, borders and gutters, in a wide variety of forms and colours.   The first Symmetrica factory was inaugurated in 1999 at Veresti, Suceava county, and was followed by production units from Podu Ilioaiei, Iasi county (2010) and Bolintin Vale near Bucharest (2011), Prejmer, Brasov (2012), Cociu – Bistrita Nasaud (2012), Marasesti- Vrancea (2018), Zimandu Nou- Arad (2021) and Solca- Suceava (2022).
