Telekom Romania launches the winter offer for the residential customers: 5-5-5 Euros for each service and six months of Netflix as a gift

November 27, 2018

On Monday, November 26, at a press conference, Telekom Romania announced the new commercial offer available for the residential customers, who will receive, against a subscription of EUR 15/month (5-5-5 Euros), Internet TV services with 110 channels, with smartbox with Play.Paus.Replay functions, fixed Internet at 1000 Mbps with a single simplified tariff plan and with wifi router included, as well as 4G mobile telephony, with unlimited calls and the possibility to buy phones in installments. After one year since it launched the Nelimitat (e.n. – “Unlimited) offer on the market, under the slogan #Netliberare, Telekom Romania comes with a new concept and introduces the subscription without contractual period in the Romanian market. It is available for the individual customers against prices starting from 5 Euros per month, and includes Unlimited 4G Internet. The operator offers for sale to its customers Samsung devices with payment in fixed installments, without interest and with zero prepayment. “Customers don’t want to be limited and blocked when they make a subscription. On certain markets it is easier to divorce than break the contract with a telecom operator”, stated Andreas Elsner, Chief Commercial Officer, Residential Segment Telekom Romania, at the press conference. Customers who will make a subscription until January 31, will receive as bonus the free Netflix service for six months. The bonus is granted for mobile subscriptions of 5 Euros per month available to the new customers of integrated services (landline-mobile), as well as to the customers already having landline services and subscribe for mobile services. The Netflix application can be installed on as many devices as possible, allowing customers to enjoy unlimited movies anywhere, anytime. To grant the free Netflix bonus, Telekom has concluded a streaming service agreement at the group level. Under the winter offer, the prepaid (card) customers will continue to have access to the Unlimited 4G Internet bonus. In addition, they can win, at a raffle, a Samsung Galaxy Note8 every day. 88 Samsung Galaxy Note8 smartphones will be offered in total.  “The new business model is based on customer experience, which has remodeled over the last years the way companies think their strategy. The new client demands diversified content anywhere, anytime, on multiple screens and easy to understand commercial offers. Today’s customers want to trust the brands they are working with, and Telekom, through its new business strategy, is trying to recalibrate the client-company relationship on the Romanian market. Today we come with A movie like offer and offer 6 months of Netflix gift to meet customer expectations for diversified content. In addition, we offer state-of-the-art phones and further true Unlimited 4G Internet at maximum speeds”, stated Andreas Elsner. According to the data provided by the Telekom representatives, the coverage of Telekom’s 4G connection is of 92% of the population. Moreover, since the Netliberare offer was launched last year, in April 2017, the quantity of mobile data consumed by the customers has increased by 470%. The difference between the Telekom customers using the Unlimited offers with unlimited data, and those with traditional subscriptions, in terms of using the mobile data, is 5 times. The sales of mobile services have increased by 33% since the Unlimited service has been launched.   Photo:  Ruxandra Voda, Corporate Communications Director, Miroslav Majoros, Chief Executive Officer, Andreas Elsner, Chief Commercial Officer, Residential Segment, Roxana Baias, Marketing Director, Residential Segment Telekom Romania
