The government approved on Monday the specific rules governing the concession procedures for offshore wind farm sites in the Romanian sector of the Black Sea.Furthermore, a government decision also approved the amounts of royalties and fees applicable to concessions. 'The legislation sets out the general framework for organising competitive concession procedures, the rules governing tender documentation, the conditions for participation, the evaluation and award of the concession, as well as the guarantees and obligations associated with the concession. ‘By establishing this framework, competitive concession procedures can be launched for the offshore wind farm sites approved under the terms of Law No. 121/2024, an essential step in preparing for the development of the first offshore wind energy projects in Romania,’ states a press release issued by the Government.
