President Klaus Iohannis promulgated on Monday the Law on amending and supplementing Law no. 98/2016 on public procurement, Law no. 99/2016 on sectorial procurement, Law no. 100/2016 on works concessions and service concessions,as well as Law no. 101/2016 on remedies and remedies in the field of awarding public procurement contracts, sectoral contracts and works concession and service concession contracts, as well as the organization and functioning of the National Board of Appeal. According to the new law, the contracting Authority has the right to procure products or services in case the estimate value of the procurement, without VAT is lower than 270,120 lei, against 135,060 lei, in the initial variant, namely works, in case where the estimated value of the procurement without VAT is lower than 900,400 lei, against 450,200 lei in the initial variant of the law. In case of public procurement, the contracting authority has the obligation to use the electronic catalogue available through SEAP or to publish a notice in the dedicated section of their own website or SEAP site, accompanied with the description of the products, services or works to be procured, for acquisitions whose estimated value is higher than 200,000 lei for products and services, namely 560,000 lei for works.
