Tourism : Nine destinations in Neamt County competing for

  Nine dream destinations in Neamt County are on the list of those competing in the "Destination of the Year 2026" competition, according to an announcement made by President of the Neamt County Council Daniel Vasilica Harpa.The destinations cover adventure, ecumenical and historical tourism areas from almost all parts of Neamt County."The presence of the nine destinations from Neamt County in this competition is an honour and a confirmation of the work carried out to develop local tourism. Neamt has extraordinary potential and this recognition shows that our county is becoming a landmark on Romania's tourist map," the president of the Neamt County Council said.The nine destinations from Neamt County competing are: Piatra-Neamt in the "Inspiring Cities" category, Bicaz and its surroundings and Tinutul Zimbrului in "Enchanted Lands," Vanatori-Neamt in "Storybook Villages," Durau Park and Experiences on the Bicaz Lake Riviera in "Fun and Adrenaline," Neamt Monastery in "Sanctuaries of History," the Cucuteni Eneolithic Art Museum in Piatra-Neamt in "Land of Knowledge" and Via Ferrata Astragalus Cheile Sugau-Munticelu in "Natural Treasures."The next stage is the national evaluation and the public vote to designate the winning destinations.Recently, the International Federation of Travel Journalists and Writers ranked Tinutul Neamtului fourth nationally in the top destinations recommended for this year.
