Representatives of the Association for the Promotion of Tourism in Oradea and Region (APTOR) promoted, on November 16 and 17, the wellness and spa services of Oradea and Baile Felix (both in northwestern Romania) at the European Medical Tourism Fair 2023, which took place in Chianciano, Italy."The therapeutic effects of the thermal waters here are unique in the world and have been known since the time of the Roman Empire. The wellness and spa services are naturally complemented by the town's architecture, gastronomy and rich cultural agenda and make an attractive package for this segment of tourists. It was also in this direction that the obtainment of the status of permanent spa area was strategically thought out in 202, for an area of 444 hectares within the city, a title acquired for the first time in Romania for a municipality the size of Oradea. Last but not least, spa, wellness and medical recovery tourism is a solution to maintain the interest of tourists in the context of development projects in the central area," the general director of APTOR - Visit Oradea, Alexandru Chira said in the press release.The participation in this fair was in line with the efforts of the municipality of Oradea to diversify the tourist offer and attract new segments of tourists to Oradea and the region."Visit Oradea participates together with Hotel President Baile Felix and presents the area as the most beautiful thermal destination in Romania and one of the most advantageous choices for health, recovery and rest in Europe," APTOR said in the release.Visit Oradea will also represent Oradea, from November 23 to 26, at the Warsaw Tourism Fair, the last tourism fair of the autumn season, the Polish market being an important source of tourists for the north-west region.
