Turkish authorities expect 50% increase of Romanian tourists in Antalya after visa elimination

About one million tourists visited Turkey in 2023, on the rise by 11.67% against 2022. Following the elimination of visas for entering this country Turkish authorities expect a significant increase of number of Romanian tourists, according to data of a tour operator.   According to the Authority for Tourism Promotion and Development, about 500,000 Romanians were in Antalya alone, where Turkish authorities expect at least a 50% increase of Romanian tourists with the simplification of rules for adults entering Turkey, as of the beginning of June.   In that context, Paralela45 agency expects an increase of 8% in the number of its turists for charter flights and 12% for circuits, in 2024.   With charter flights to Antalya from 14 cities, to Alanya from Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, to Bodrum from Bucharest and many circuit variants crossing the country, agency representatives expect Turkey to become a star destination in 2024, the tour operator informs in a press release.   The price of a summer vacation in Alanya starts from 1,260 euros for two adults and two children, in Kemer from 1,282 euros, in Lara from 1,720 euros, in Side from 1,742 euros, in Belek from 1,891 euros in four-star hotels all inclusive. The price of a holiday package in Bodrum starts from 2,058 euros for two adults and 2 children, in three star hotels.   More circuit variants in Turkey, either in Istanbul or Ankara and Cappadocia or Mesopotamia, Northern Turkey, Cappadocia and Mesopotamia, of 4 to 8 nights at price starting from 400 euros/person, offers tourists the possibility of an active holiday, in which they discover the history, culture and gastronomy of the country, the charm of landscapes and the hosts' hospitality.
