What Romanians believe about AI and impact on the job

September 30, 2025

Exact Business Solutions published the results to the most recent Trust Barometer of the Consumer, a quarterly survey which measures the Romanians’ perceptions and behaviour in regard to the market, consumption and new trends.   A special chapter aimed at the perceptions on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the workplace.   The results show a dual perspective: - 47% of respondents believe AI is helping them learn, grow or will redefine their work in the next 5 years. - 39% say they would prefer a job without AI. - 28% fear the technology could replace their job. - Only 22% believe AI will create more jobs than it will eliminate.   The results of this survey confirm the fact that in Romania, artificial intelligence is perceived, by the employees themselves as being in a fragile balance between accelerator of productivity and professional development and uncertainty factor on the labour market. In the present situation, where digital technologies are adopted rapidly, these perceptions are essential in order to understand the social and economic climate’ Julien Zidaru, representative of Exact Business Solutions said.   The Consumer Trust Barometer survey is conducted online, quarterly, on a sample of 500 respondents, representative of the adult urban population.
