Several film festivals are happening in Bucharest, alongside a coffee culture festival, concerts, and exhibitions.
Wiener Jeunesse Orchester will present an extraordinary concert at the Romanian Athenaeum on July 31, as part of the International “Magic Summer” Festival, according to a press release. At the concert, the orchestra will present an interestins program, under the baton of Herbert Bock, with pieces signed by Leonar Bernstein, Wolfgang Korngold and Gustav Mahler. The concert will begin with Candide Overture by Leonard Bernstein. Composed in 1956, which is a sample of orchestra vistuosity, combining elements of classical and jazz music, characteristic of Bernstein's style. Then the audience will listen to the violin concert by Wolfgang Korngold. The concert is known for its melodic beauty and complexity, combining Romantic influences with a modern style. Daniel Auner, one of the most talented and appreciated violinists of his generation, known for his perfect technique and emotional performace will be the soloist of the concert. At the end, Wiener Jeunesse Orchester will play Symphony no.1 “Titan”by Gustav Mahler. The symphony is an exploration of human nature and emotions. From the beginning to the end this symphony represents and intense, deep musical journey which reflects the composer's landscapes of the soul. It is a work that offers a spectacular and emotional audio experience. In August, people are invited to three cncerts: Slovenia's Youth Orchestra on August 7, the Romanian Youth Orchestra, conducted by Cristian Mandeal on August 14, the International Festival “Magical Summer” ending with a concert performed by Sinfonietta Orchestra, with conductor and soloist Alexander Sitkovetsky.
